Trakhees warehouse approvals: planning a Jebel Ali submission

For a warehouse governed by Trakhees, distinguish the technical building route from free-zone property, licensing and operational requirements.

In this guide

Confirm the actual site and scope first. Trakhees has different new-building and modification procedures; a Jafza modification NOC is a separate property service and may depend on technical permit documents.

Define the warehouse work and operation

A new warehouse, an alteration to a leased unit and an installation within an operating facility should not be treated as identical applications. Define what is being built or changed and the intended activity.

Gather the site and equipment information

Collect the lease or plot information, existing approved plans, proposed layout and equipment or storage brief. Ask which supporting technical and activity information is needed for the selected service.

Map technical and property approvals

  1. Confirm the governing route

Identify the plot and the relevant Trakhees application.

  2. Separate permissions

List technical, property and operational applications individually.

  3. Set the dependencies

Check which approved documents each application needs.

  4. Plan completion

Identify the inspections and closing records for the facility.

Check which NOC depends on the permit

Jafza’s modification NOC checklist can request a building or modification permit, so “developer NOC first” is not a universal sequence. Use the actual checklists to build the programme.

Common questions

Is Jafza approval the same as Trakhees approval?

No. They provide different services; identify the deliverable required from each.

Does every Jebel Ali address establish Trakhees jurisdiction?

Use the actual property records and official confirmation rather than the area name alone.

Can racking or equipment be left out of the initial brief?

Include intended installations in the brief so the appointed team can assess the complete scope.
