Who submits a technical electricity connection application?
DEWA’s electricity permits and connections service is for enrolled consultants and contractors. Its official directory lets you check the service category of an enrolled firm.
Is a DEWA account activation the same as technical approval?
No. DEWA separates consumer services from builder services. A building or altered installation may need a technical service route in addition to the customer’s account arrangements.
Can an existing property need a new technical application?
DEWA lists fit-out connections and network modifications separately, and its electricity service guidance also addresses additional loads. Review the proposed installation and select the applicable service.
Does a design approval mean the supply is ready?
The electricity service includes site inspection and supply-release steps. Coordinate the approved design, installation readiness and required inspections rather than assuming approval alone completes the connection.
